Alex Black [October 2004] was a kind, knowledgeable individual who was a 1949 graduate of Adena High School.

Barbara Sweden, an AHS Alumni, who succumbed to cancer in 2007.

Joseph Stewart Jarvis age 77, of Berea, died Friday, May 16, 2008, at Harborside Health Care in Louisville. He was a native of Adena, Ohio. He worked for Printing Service in Dayton, Ohio from 1960-1975, American Greetings in Dyersburg, Tennessee from 1975-1983 and from 1983-1996 in Corbin, Kentucky where he retired as manager of the lithography department.

James Ofty Sliva died in his sleep September 23, 2008 at age 73. He was an owner of the Bridge Street Cafe, (Oftys) and served as Mayor of Adena.
